The project concerned an apartment in a historical building located in the centre of Monteverde hill, an aristocratic area of Rome.

The original layout of the apartment, which had previously been used as a student flat, was maintained, while the functionality of small unused spaces was improved thanks to bespoke elements. The aim of the project was therefore to restore the original grandeur of the apartment, despite its surface area of only 90 square metres. A great deal of space has been given to the living area, which has been freed from all dividing walls, creating a single environment that includes the kitchen, living and dining areas.

The dominant colour is white, which enhances the parquet flooring. It is complemented by design objects that the owner has collected over time, making this small apartment a place to discover. A lot of space has been given to the living area, which has been freed from all dividing walls, creating a unique environment where the kitchen, living and dining areas coexist.

Decorative elements such as stucco and precious materials have been used to embellish the spaces and make them unique. All the furnishings have been designed and made to measure, including the antique parquet flooring with a beautiful polychrome inlaid wooden carpet.

In the bedroom, the style of the early 20th century building is recalled through a ceiling fresco that incorporates the tones and colours of the original fresco that adorns the external façades.

The bathrooms follow this philosophy of stylistic recovery, highlighting an original choice of colours that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The lighting has been designed to enhance the architectural lines and furnishings with discretion and delicate elegance.

The overall result was to create an extremely refined and luxurious environment, unique in its kind, where the old and the new are balanced.

For this renovation, the architect chose TESI in a white finish to match the all-white style of the apartment, and ARPA 12 in a vertical black finish with matching valves in the bathrooms.
