Our journey toward continuous improvement
In 2023, IRSAP began a Lean transformation journey with the aim of making its processes increasingly efficient, reducing waste, improving product quality and creating a more organized and sustainable working environment for people.
Over the years, continuous improvement has become an integral part of the way we work, starting from production and progressively involving all company functions. To consolidate this journey and ensure a shared approach throughout the organization, we have defined and formalized our operating system: the IPS – IRSAP Process System.
What is the IRSAP Process System?
The IRSAP Process System – IPS is the system that describes the way we work at IRSAP. It brings together, in a single model, the practices, methods and tools we use to achieve our goals, monitor results and continuously improve processes.
Having a clear, defined and easily accessible standard is essential so that everyone can understand it and apply it in their daily work, allowing the system to sustain itself over time.
How should it be read?
IRSAP’s management is based on three fundamental moments, closely connected to one another:
Strategy
Strategy defines the direction to follow and the objectives the company intends to achieve. From it derive the targets and priorities that are shared and deployed at all levels of the organization.
Governance
Governance ensures the constant monitoring of performance through structured moments of discussion and analysis. Results are regularly reviewed to ensure the achievement of objectives and to promptly activate the actions needed to restore standards when deviations occur (Performance Recovery).
Kaizen
Kaizen represents the engine of continuous improvement. Through a structured and participatory approach, people are involved in identifying improvement opportunities and defining new standards, contributing to the constant evolution of processes (Performance Improvement).
At the heart of the IRSAP Process System is the standard, a fundamental element for ensuring stability, repeatability and process quality.
The standard represents the best known method for carrying out an activity at a given time. Once defined, it is applied, monitored and improved over time through the continuous cycle of Governance and Kaizen.
In this way, IRSAP is able not only to maintain the results achieved, but also to build the conditions for constant improvement in its performance.
Our commitment to continuous improvement
At IRSAP, we believe that every process can be improved and that every person can contribute to change. IPS therefore does not represent an endpoint, but a continuously evolving system.
In addition to being the tool that guides the spread of Lean thinking within IRSAP, this model represents the driving force that pushes our entire organization in a single direction: toward the future.
